IMPORTANT NOTICE

IO 0.1 Alpha has been released! There are some things that you need to know before you download it. Make sure you read this before installing. This game that we have created is an ALPHA. What that means is that it's not a polished product. You WILL run into problems. We have setup a forum with a dedicated moderator to handle and organize all the issues you find. Please report them so that we can fix them.

There is a chance (ESPECIALLY with VISTA) that after installing you may have permission issues. We've been able to test it on one Vista machine. If you're running VISTA, please use the following steps when you install:
1.) When you run the installer, right click on it and run as administrator.
2.) After installation, locate your installation directory. Navigate to the celstart folder. Right click on celstart_static.exe and run it in WinXP compatibility mode.
3.) Play!

Additionally, there are no sound effects in the game at this point in time. There's nothing wrong with your computer, we just haven't had time to work on that area.

Last but not least, we'd like to respectfully request donations from our users. It takes time and money to keep our servers going, and since we have plans to make the game ever better and expanded, it will take time and money to make new servers and write new code. Donations can be made here: http://www.interstateoutlaws.com/donate

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
While you are downloading, please take time to review the following things:

ReadMe: www.interstateoutlaws.com/downloads/ReadMe.html
(can also be found in the IO installation directory and the start menu)
Intro Movie: We put considerable effort into creating an introduction movie for Interstate Outlaws. We're still working on the code that will play it when the game starts. In the mean time, we still felt that everybody would be interested in seeing it. You can find it on youtube here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRhgb3osz28
Errata: If you would like to host a server (lobby), port 1827 accessible. This may require opening it in your firewall, or if you are behind a router, forwarding it to your computer. If you would like to host a game, you will need port 1828. However, no open ports are needed if you simply want to join a game.
Feedback and Known Issues: Please use the Feedback Forum. to address any suggestions, complaints, or technical problems you may have. You will also find information there regarding known issues.

Have FUN!
